About Byakuya Kuchiki
Byakuya Kuchiki is the 28th head of a noble shinigami family and shows his noble better than you attitude in both the material and spirit world. Byakuya s zanpakuto is Senbonzakura (lit. A thousand Cherry Blossoms) when first released it fragments into a multitude of nearly imperceptible blades that can only be seen by the refracted light making them appear as cherry blossoms. The advanced release of Senbonzakura elongates these blades into full length swords that surround both Byakuya and his opponent allowing no interference. Byakuya can use these blades any number at a time but chooses to only wield one. The second form can also be coalesced into one mighty glowing sword and granting Byakuya large feathered wings and a halo of pure sprit energy dealing incredible amounts of damage to those who oppose him.
The sword of Byakuya Kuchiki is just as cold and uncaring as Byakuya himself. Both the handle and the saego are wrapped in a beautiful lavender cotton cord matching the attitude and persona of Byakuya in the anime.
